This trip takes place at Train Spot Guesthouse, housed in the historic Marvão/Beirã train station, created in the XIX century and classified as Architectural Heritage of Portugal. Here, travelers of all ages, but with a young heart, live the experience of dreaming and waking up in a station from the industrial age, in the exuberant surroundings of the Serra de S. Mamede Natural Park, in direct contact with the tradition of border culture, one step away between Portugal and Spain.

A LIVING STATION PROJECTA
This station was once closed. Today it remains open thanks to those who visit it.
Train Spot Guesthouse is a family-run project created to reopen and care for this historic railway station, once closed and forgotten in the Alentejo countryside. The project receives no institutional support and exists thanks to its use as tourist accommodation.
By staying at Train Spot, you are helping to keep this station alive.
THE IDEAL PLACE FOR GROUPSS
Train Spot Guesthouse is a place designed to be enjoyed together. It offers spacious common areas, a large lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a covered porch and a garden, creating the perfect setting for families, friends and teams to gather.
We welcome groups with exclusive use of the main building for up to 14 guests, with the option to increase capacity to 22 guests through two apartments located within the same property.

We offer a simple and genuine way to experience the Alentejo. A place for those who value authenticity, history, nature and the opportunity to slow down.

OVER 100 YEARS OLD
This century-old building was designed for another time and another purpose. Today, trains no longer arrive here, but travellers still do.
Keeping this heritage alive is a daily challenge, carried out with respect for its history and the authenticity that makes it unique. Its architecture, materials and many original details preserve the memory of a different way of travelling and living.
